Riff Dissection #3 - Drain//Nights Like These
This is a breakneck way to start a song!
Try practicing this one in straight 8th notes to start. Convert the groups of four 16th notes into two 8th notes and down pick the entire thing. This is the articulation you should be using when you eventually go back to 16th notes. Every chord stab should be played with a downstroke and the start of each group of 16ths notes should also begin with a downstroke.
Pack as much aggression and attack as you can into your picking hand!
Guitar tuning is half step down here but feel free to play this riff in any tuning you desire!
